Expression58 Reaching the Poor of the earth, BOTH conditions of human and spiritual poverty
One of the reasons why we launched Expression58 was to reach out to this coming generation of leaders of all ages to take their place in all of society. Society is a starving mass of humanity, starving mostly for the fruit of unconditional love.

Much of the church has abdicated all positions of secular authority, considering these worldly and less important then full time ministries to the church. The reality is we are supposed to be preparing the world to receive Jesus. We are called as a people to activate our children into every conceivable place that Jesus can get glory. Every office of authority, every art form, every business industry, all of it should be influenced by the heavenly culture of love. We are the only ones that can co create in full partnership to God. We are the only people on earth who can bring perfected love, where there is only common love without Jesus which does not meet the deeper desires.

Our mandate for children at risk on the earth is equally as important. Jennifer Toledo coined a term about reaching out to the poor in 3rd world countries: Today's Orphans, Tomorrow's Leaders. We believe that we are supposed to reach especially children in these countries and not just touch their provisional needs, but we need to help train them to be catalysts of change for their nations. There are so many humanitarian projects going on, but when you have spiritually undone issues over whole nations you need to raise up people to be able to bring resolution along with provision.

We love that there is a movement (not just a trend) of people who are already fore running these. We want to continue to take our place with them!

Walking As the Fulfillment to 2000+ Years of Intercession
There is always a need to intercede and pray, but one generation is going to begin to walk out the fulfillment of 2000+ years of prayer. One generation is going to begin to reap what they have not sown, inheriting the centuries of intercession.

The closer we get to the end of the age the more of the Spirit of Revelation is poured upon the whole generation. This takes us from a more traditional form of intercession into more of a cooperation with God's mandates on the earth. The more we hear from Him about what He is doing, the more we are co laboring with His divine agenda in deliberate ways. There will be two types of intercessors in this next season:

1) Those who are called into the prayer movement to reestablish cooperation between Heaven and Earth

2) Those who are activated into roles all over society to be an answer to those prayers and the prayers of generations

Because I personally was so involved with the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, people are wondering how closely what we are doing will look to Kansas City. In truth it will look almost nothing at all like it. I want to take the best of what we learned there and incorporate those principles, but not the style, agenda, or meeting types. There already is a Kansas City House of Prayer, they don't need a replica in Los Angeles through us. I am sure other ministries who have that full calling will emerge.

Personally, I am also not called primarily to a prayer room model of ministry. I had periods that I felt guilty for not being a prayer room intercessor. Realize I am not talking about going to prayer meetings but spending 40+ hours a week in the prayer room like we would do in Kansas City. It was not my passion, although I will always deeply love the prayer room. Instead I longed to activate people into the fulfillment of prayer. This is an equally noble calling that many are receiving today! Both are needed, both are being commissioned, and both will work together for the end time harvest.

Expression58's Mandates:
Like I said, we really believe that we are called to activate people into society - to be God's transforming agents in the world. We are called to reap what we haven't sown and help many others do the same. Many of our up coming events for 2008 will be a whole new wineskin for conferences. Not that they haven't been done before, but they will have a new twist on them.

What if we did a prophetic conference just for those who felt called to the entertainment industry, bringing together a panel of actors, directors, writers, and prophetic voices?

What if we targeted the Civil Rights Movement and Social Justice Issues with a Kingdom perspective and really challenged apostolic and prophetic people to look into Heaven about these issues, but also hear from key leaders in those arena's?

What if we opened the door for the arts to take a prominent role in worship and the church? Not just painters or dancers off to the side but actually invested and used art as a forum to speak forth the revelation, theology, and philosophy of Christianity? What if we began to find hospitals that would accept our art that had healing virtue? Or law firms who had paintings by Christians who intercede over the justice system?

We want to begin to find specific targets that develop goals for people who don't fit into traditional church structures, but are powerful kingdom builders. I know many on our team have cried out to God saying “Give us the discarded artists, dancers, entertainers, musicians, prophets! Give us the spiritual and natural orphans!”

We feel so strongly about the Spirit of adoption that needs to be released in this generation that one of our first team leadership projects is to go as a team to adoption classes to get certified as adopters. Even if an individual on our team doesn't want to adopt, we want them to get exposed to the social system in America over our nations orphans and foster care. One of our team even is going to work towards getting her certification to teach adoption classes.

We wanted to start feeding you a little of our mandates and philosophy behind what God is calling us to so that you could feel our heart beat. Some of you may be impacted by the spiritual culture we are presenting, and our hope is that you will get impregnated even more with the genetics that we are carrying.

What's Happening For Expression58 This Month?
The Move: This is an exciting month for us, we are moving! Our whole leadership team is spending time looking for housing in the West Los Angeles area, specifically from April 4-15. We will be moving in mid May.

The Backbone Team is Coming Together: Also we have a great team coming together! We have such incredible people who God is bringing to help build the whole info structure and manage the ministry! God is answering our prayers and giving us a people who's passion is to man some of the backbone roles for this next season.

Event in the Fall: We are planning an event for the fall right now, more news will come about the event but Brian and Jennifer Johnson will be coming to lead worship. We are trying to nail down dates based on our good friends who are going to come and speak. This event will be about Revolution and Renaissance.

Internships in the Fall: We will have information in April about the internships. This will include all costs, age groups, types, etc. Right now our first internships we will be starting in September are called Isaiah 58 Missions Internship and FLI : Foundations in Leadership internship. The foundations in leadership is a ministry training track for those young adults who have already graduated somewhere else or have some experience in leadership but want to get activated in what they have been learning by doing it. We will be offering classes and internships for all ages in the future, but we are starting this year with those we are already set up for.

E Magazine: Did you get our launch Magazine in March? Download it here: Love Revolution or subscribe to our mailing list by emailing: You don't want to miss it this month! Its going to be very rich with inspiration to the real walk with Love. We are featuring Andre Ashby and our good friend Amey who is launching a huge E Magazine project called “Nameless/Faceless”

Prayer and Intercession:
All of our leaders are working on book projects right now. Each one is important and we need the breath of God to blow upon them so that we can get them out in the right season!

Pray for finances. More specifically pray for us as we look for several houses to accommodate our purpose. The good news is the housing market is cheaper right now, the bad news is West LA is still one of the most expensive places to live in the States. As a matter of fact you need between three to four thousand dollars just to rent a house per month! No longer will we benefit from Midwestern or southern prices!

Infrastructure: Keep praying for wisdom as we set up the infrastructure for the entire ministry. We love to take on big projects, and with this ministry there is no end! (Sounds like Kingdom!) We are setting up the E magazine, the internships for the fall, the weekly church meeting structure, our leadership info structure, the accounting, the outreaches to the poor, the website and our materials, and everything else that are too numerous to mention.

Thanks for reading! We love you and your heart for our ministry!

In Christ,

The Expression58 Family

P.S. All donations and love offerings can still be sent to Expression58 at 212 West Violet Ave, Foley, AL, 36535 until the end of April, then we will provide you with a new address through our mailing list. If you are wanting to sow into an individuals life in our ministry please do not write their name on the check, but include a note that it is directed towards them. Each member of the team is not taking any finances from Expression58 general fund but all money is going to building the ministry.

Also, we would like to apologize for the delay in this newsletter. We were experiencing problems with our internet connection and were unable to send this out. Likewise, the second edition of Love Revolution will be delayed a few days as well. Thank you for you patience .
