Through many of my writings I have written numerous articles involving the younger generation. I am not considered a youth leader or young adult minister. However, the Lord has often encountered me as an “older” one of the younger generation who has grown up with purpose and destiny as part of Joel’s army.
Our ministry loves and is called to equip people of all age groups. We as an entire generation are about to enter one of the greatest spiritual purposes in history. Theresa Lea, a good friend of ours and a powerfully anointed prophetic person, has often said, “We must see each other at the end of the race holding a trophy.”
Bob Jones, one of our mentors and friends goes so far as to say that his ceiling must become our floor. That is the mentality of our training, to allow people to walk on our experience, not come up under it. While at a wonderful conference held by Frontline Worship Center in Alberta Canada, this phrase took on significant meaning. During a session conducted by Heidi Baker, I went into a spiritual trance that transitioned into an open vision. The vision revealed many young people on the earth right now. I saw that God had made an investment into them and that it was time to harvest this investment; it was a fullness of time moment. The revelation seemed to emphasize people who were young adults, though every age group will be vital in God’s plan.
As I observed this future army there was not much about them that seemed compelling. Suddenly the Holy Spirit began to hover over them and my eyes were opened to see them from God’s perspective. The young people in front of me were transformed as though they were at the end of their lives having finished their race as champions; each one was holding the victors trophy. It was amazing because as I looked at each one of them my spiritual eyes were opened to see the fullness of what was available to them. I could see their opportunities for greatness and the ability offered them to find Jesus in a way that was rare and awesome.
Eyes of Eternity
“This is how I see them,” The Holy Spirit said to me, “I see them at the end of their race with the trophy in hand.”
I remembered Theresa’s voice saying these same words. I looked again and I saw them normal; the glory had faded. They were in the same condition as when the vision started; they were not visibly special. They were no longer in their fullness as I had seen them spiritually. They were just irresponsible young people that seemed more self absorbed than any generation before.
“What do you see in front of you?” The Lord asked.
“I don’t want to tell You; I liked what I saw a moment ago when they had their trophies and crowns,” I responded.
The Lord then said, “That is how I always see them. I want to invite you to see them in their fullness, at the end of the race, fully rewarded for their ‘Yes’ to me. If you see them this way with My eyes then you will treat them this way. If you treat them this way, then they can rise up to the occasion to run the race of life as overcomers. They will rise up and live after the spiritual truth that you awaken and invite them to.”
The Lord then revealed John in the book of Revelation chapters 2-3 when He spoke to him about the seven churches. Jesus was very honest with their weakness but invited them into His fullness. He promised them many things based on His expectation that they would desire to say “yes” to His Spirit who would empower them to”overcome.” The key is that He didn’t hope they would, He knew already the ones whose desire was for Him. To them He imparted the virtue to overcome.
John’s Great Revelation of the Fully Prepared Bride
I then saw John in Revelation 19 as he was given the vision of the radiant bride who had embraced the righteousness of Christ. Obviously the whole bride of Christ is not yet perfected, but John saw her as though she was. It was the most sacred thing that John saw besides Jesus Himself. Because of this, John was able to love those that God loved on earth in a supernatural way because he saw them in the Lord’s perfection. He saw her at the end of the race fully prepared as a bride to meet her Bridegroom and say “YES” with all her heart.
This is the same principle that God desires that we use in looking at the younger generation. Not necessarily who they now are but who they can be. Many people are aware of their calling to invest into the younger generation but oftentimes do not know how. I challenge you to see them with the eyes of heaven from God’s perspective in eternity. This will cause you to help them go higher toward their eternal destiny; not just treat them based on their current level of maturity (or lack there of).
God is calling forth a generation that will advance in a Kingdom way. A paraphrased definition of growth in Kingdom principles involves maturing at an escalated pace. The speed of eternity is even faster than the speed of light. What takes 20 years for previous generations to learn becomes common for a Kingdom generation to gain in only one year. Peter understood this principle in 2 Peter 3:8.
Expression58 Internships
In light of these revelations, we wanted to honor the vision by investing into the younger generation of leaders. They are the ones that may not even know what they are called to, but can feel the serious tug of eternity upon their destiny. I oversee Expression58 internship programs in fulfillment of a vision that the Lord birthed in me to train young people. It is designed for the ages 17 to 25 (sometimes a little younger or older are included). The disciples who were on the road to Emmaus didn’t initially know it was Jesus who was with them causing their hearts to burn within them, but when they found out they were never the same. They always had anticipation of encountering Him again in real ways and they never felt alone or without direction again. They maintained a place of conviction built both by the Word and their spiritual experience.
I believe this story is a parable of what God is doing in this generation. He is causing hearts to burn within us, and then revealing Himself to us. We want to encounter Jesus together this way and discover all the burning passions that He has inspired us with. In this internship the young people live together, eat together and press into worship and intercession together; they will travel on ministry trips with Expression58 teams and participate as part of the ministry team; get exposed to some serious mothers and fathers of the faith who also burn with passion; and basically see God in themselves in a way that will cause them to never look at anything but Heaven as a goal.
Leaping forward into new technologies With Great Acceleration!
“What would happen if what takes twenty years to take a hold of in the world’s society, takes place in a period of seven years or less?”
As we entered into the New Year on January 1st, I heard the Lord say something that amazed me. He said that this year was going to be like a “technological leap year.” Not in the traditional sense of what a leap year is, but this is what I understood:
During the next few years, there will be a “leap forward” in technologies, and what might take seven years to invent will come forth in only one. Or what takes seven years to get into homes might take only a few. God is going to bring a quickening to what would normally take years and years to discover the fullness of. In other words, we are in a season of a great acceleration in technology.
If you are a scientist, an inventor, or in the technology market, this may be the beginning of one of the most exciting times in history as God adds His hand to your work and the work of those around you.
There has been even more unfolding in the past several months to our understanding of the times and seasons we are living in. We wanted to continue building a prophetic perspective with revelations to inspire a generation to apprehend her mandate for this hour.
The Room of the Aborted
In heaven, there is a special room that a few prophetic people have seen through visions and trances. I saw it first when I was sixteen years old and it helped me to understand God’s justice system. Recently I saw this spiritual place again and discovered it is a room within the Courts of Heaven. It is called the “abortion room” and in this room there are millions of innocents who were destroyed through abortion before their purpose on earth could be completed.
These precious ones are crying out before the Mercy seat. They long for a recompense to be delivered to Jesus in response to their lives being cut short.
I heard the cry of one of the females who was aborted and she was pointing down at a girl her exact same age on the Earth who was still alive. “Lord you know that I was killed and my calling was aborted, not just my life; will you expand her calling (finger pointing the young lady on Earth) and give her my purpose that you had created for me before the beginning of time so that you can inherit your full reward?” To this God said “yes”, and the girl on Earth was expanded supernaturally to walk in more anointing and purpose than she would ever be able to accomplish by her own calling.
I began to hear a roar of those in this “abortion room” in heaven as they shouted forth their similar requests, pointing to those who were on the earth and appealing to God to release their callings upon a generation. I could see people who were in this generation receiving as many as seven callings from those who were in heaven petitioning their God. How is God going to inherit the earth through a generation? We need to begin to understand how the justice of God works: a sevenfold anointing is being released!
Yet if he [the thief] is caught, he must pay sevenfold, though it costs him all the wealth of his house. —Proverbs 6:31
God is doing something amazing in this generation. There is an expansion in the heart of this very generation involving a unique destiny. It is not just that a few people are called in a special way, but the whole generation is burning with purpose. I want to share a portion of my personal testimony that I walked out in a prophetic journey.
When I was fifteen years old a prophetic friend by the name of Theresa Lea moved to our church. She prophesied over me that I would meet a prophet named Bob Jones, who would come into my life and when he did my whole commission for ministry would start with the higher purposes of my calling and destiny. I knew of Bob and he had even prayed for me at a conference once before, but I had not been around him for many years. I wanted to seek him out but I knew I needed to wait on the sovereignty of God or else it would be human effort and God would not get the maximum glory He desired.
After a few years went by I asked my friend, “Theresa, it has been five years, are you sure about your prophetic word involving Bob Jones?” I seemed so far from meeting him. We were not even in ministry circles that related to each other much but I loved him in my heart.
She responded “You will meet him before the year 2003.” That seemed like an eternity away in 1998 when she said it, so I just let it go although it was always in my heart; historically Theresa has been such an accurate voice and a lover of God, I knew it had the earmark of reality in it.
Well into the midnight hour of the word, November of 2002, I had my way paid to go to a conference in Albany Oregon by Paul Keith and Wanda. We had met the previous month at a conference and they felt like I was supposed to come to Albany because it was going to be significant. They are like family with Bob Jones and the Lord had told them that I was supposed to meet him and the rest of their team (they didn’t know my word and they invited me, which I thought was exciting). I knew this was God and was amazed because it was one month from 2003! What an awesome fulfillment!
The Four Men
In November during a prophetic conference in Albany OR, I was taken into a vivid spiritual experience that I believe was a trance and was standing in a “heavenly place.” I knew that I was not alone but three other men were standing with me. The Lord was positioned in front of us, clothed in incredible light, which made the surroundings outside of Him difficult to see. I was not given the identity of two of the men who were in the vision. Only one was revealed to me. The Lord began to speak to the four of us simultaneously and it was communicated that the number four had spiritual significance in this vision.
Luke 4:18 and 4/18/2003
The Lord said that expressions of Luke 4:18 were going to be released on 4/18. I had an emphatic understanding that there was going to be a power shift on April 18th. I believe, based upon this experience, that a token of Luke 4:18 will be poured out in a sovereign way on this date.
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” —Luke 4:18–19
Angels from the Throne room
In the throne room of Heaven there are angels who have been worshipping since they were created. They live and breathe the presence and fragrance of the Holiness of the God head. The book of Revelation is the only book that guarantees a blessing when reading it because it speaks of the heavenly realities of Jesus.
In these heavenly realities there are angelic and spiritual beings who are in front of the throne twenty four hours a day and seven days a week. Also before the throne there are the seven lamp stands, or Spirits of God. In the holiest places in the throne room there are angels who camp around those lamp stands, letting their very beings be illumined by the light projected from God’s nature. They glory in this.
There is a change coming to the whole body of Christ. We are about to enter a season of one of the greatest installments of heaven ever demonstrated in history. Before any great change there is a process of transition that God brings us through. This process brings us to a place of being divinely “undone” with where we have come in life so that we can recognize that we need to get somewhere else even if we don’t know how to get there yet. There is also a war right now for the thoughts and hearts of mankind because of the great season of change we are coming into as a body of Christ world wide.
God is giving many of us who are forerunning a gift right now; He is allowing everything outside of Himself that we have put hope in to fail us, so that He alone remains. Everything that would tie our minds or hearts to an earthly position, or to a man of God, or in fulfillment that is not unto eternity, will not succeed. Many people are devastated over the failure in one of these areas. The reality is that God will not let the church stay where it is presently and is exposing anything that would get in the way of His love.
Bob Jones prophesied that God would begin to take away the general grace that is on the world in 2005. What this meant in my understanding is that everything that sustained us outside of God, even seemingly good things, are being challenged if not totally removed. He also prophesied that those who would walk in intimacy with God would be given a greater grace then the one that was removed. He saw an angel representing “Great Grace” coming to the people of God.
Micah 2:13: One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out. Their king will pass through before them, the LORD at their head.
I have been traveling for well over a decade and I have never seen the remnant body of Christ in such a place of transition. I don’t want to say it is the same for everyone but one thing is true: We are not going to make it into the new place that God desires unless He moves us forward. HE has to break open the way into the new thing that He is calling us to.
Those who have read Paul Keith and Bob Jones report about the Angel of Breakthrough have been desperate to enter into this very thing. We are longing to see God do what He has said He would do. Many of us have such radical promises that God has declared to us that we couldn’t accomplish them even if we tried. One thing is true for all of us who are divinely dangling in this place of transition between what was and what is to come: human effort can not accomplish heavens goals.
This was an experience I had in 1999. We published a form of it a few years ago. I wanted to bring it back out and go into more detail because of the relevance for this season.
I was caught up into a trance in which I saw a vast library in heaven. The main room was divided into three sections: past, present, and future. It was a very busy place with angels and saints who had already entered into eternity. It was not like an earthly library where we try and stimulate a quiet somber attitude. It was a place of action! People were reading, writing, and discussing the material. I looked around trying to take in as much of the room as I could see.
Last night I had a dream that redirected me in what I was going to write this month. In my dream, I saw a man who looked familiar but I couldn’t make out his features. He came and handed me a large heavy book that I had also seen before but I couldn’t make out the cover. I looked at the back of the book and recognized it. It was my book, “Keys to Heaven’s Economy, an Angelic Visitation from The Minister of Finance,” but in this copy there were more chapters.
My eyes were then opened and I recognized this man; I was again seeing the Minister of Finance of the Kingdom. “Read,” he commanded, and so I did.
I began to read about the future as if it had already happened. The projects in people’s hearts that are in seed form now, were fully birthed and written about in this expanded version of my book. It was as though I had interviewed people on the details of how God had given them direction in their projects. It filled me full of faith as I saw thousands of names and their projects in the book.
In the book I had written the same phrase over and over: “And the Angel of the Lord directed Him/Her to….”
I knew the Angel of the Lord had been assigned to direct people very specifically, according to the pattern of heaven concerning the stewardship of the projects and resources that will bring Jesus His reward.
