Our worship department at Expression58 is one built around relationship and community. We believe that when we pursue the rich beauty of God and community, our ability to touch heaven is so much more tangible. Our department is formed around those who are running with it. The vision is that of individuality and creative expression partnered with a unity and respect for a culture of honor and creativity. We believe that we are called to bring heaven to earth through our worship. As we bring ourselves and those we are leading to a higher place focused on the face of Jesus and the goodness of God the father, we are able to experience a freedom in worship and community that is fulfilling to us and pleases the heart of God. We teach that we are to be good care takers of the gifts God has given us, therefore we have a high value and regard for excellence in our music and craft. We ask that all those involved in the department have once had or are currently going through technical training.

Creative Arts

Here at Expression58 we carry a heart and value for creative arts and the visual expression of worship. Though we are in our pioneering season as a department, we do not lack in passion and enthusiasm. We are excited to build together and see what God releases through us in 2012. We believe that God, The Creator, has made all of us with the ability and intent to be creative. When embarking on the journey of creativity God will begin unlocking a new sense of worship, freedom, and release. Our God is a God of creativity and longs for us to partner with him in unlocking new expression of heaven here on earth. Through color, movement, sound, and film we will see God unlock a new passion and zeal for relationship with Him to this generation. Visual expression of Gods heart is a vital part of the church that we are joining together to see restored in the body of Christ. A church with creativity and passion is one of freedom.

Our department is currently in its start up/pioneering stage. We are looking for individuals with a heart, experience, and ability to help get things started. If you have a heart for art, acting, dance, creative writing, fashion, etc. and would like to help us get this department moving. Please contact us!

Volunteer

At expression58 we hold a high value for those who help facilitate and carry each service and event. We are so thankful for all those who have willingly sowed in their time, energy, and creative input to the Expression58 volunteer department.

We are always looking for volunteers to help us carry the different things going on in the church. Expression58 Services: We currently have 4 volunteer teams that facilitate and carry 2 services per month. Two teams are scheduled for two Tuesday services a month, and the other two teams are scheduled for two Sunday services a month. Each volunteer is assigned a team and volunteer team leader. That team arrives an hour before each service to help prep and plan for the evening and is asked to serve the duration of the service. Other volunteer opportunities: We are always looking for those who are skilled in specific areas (Exp: Admin, Media, Web Design, etc) who would like to volunteer their time. Children’s

Expression58 as a church values seeing children walk in their fullness, expressed through their gifts, callings, and destinies. Our vision is to see our children raised up in intimacy with Jesus through love manifested in justice and creativity. The children’s department strives to create an atmosphere for children to experience the presence of God as they explore the realities of the Kingdom. We believe that children can be agents of love through the demonstration of the undiluted gospel. As we create a place where our children can experience freedom and grace, our desire is for them to feel safe to express themselves with out fear. We would love to see you and your children visit our childrens church after worship on Sunday mornings! Our ages range from nursery all they way to 13 years of age. Come, lets have an adventure together!

 

Personal Transformation

So if the Son sets you free, you are free through and through. John 8:36 (The Message). At Expression58 we understand that God is moving us from glory to glory. Because Jesus is without limit, there is always more of Him and our growth in Him is essentially limitless. Lets say that again: God is without limit and there is always more of Him! That is great news. We at Expression58 are pressing into the fullness of God and all that Jesus paid for with His death and resurrection- true freedom, intimacy with the Lord, holiness, justice, and love (the list could go on and on). Every day we see Love, Creativity and Justice administered to the body of Christ and in/through the Personal Transformation Department.

The Personal Transformation Department is dedicated to seeing the body become like Christ. Jesus is the standard of what our lives are to look like and we offer many tools to help you become more like Him. The Personal Transformation Department offers several classes throughout the year teaching us about freedom, leading us into freedom, and training us to administer the freedom Christ has for us. Sozo fusion is also offered to the body of Christ. It is a focused time of discovering the truth of God and getting rid of the “stuff” that might hold us back from that truth and growth. We encourage you to dive into the fullness of God’s love and utilize the Personal Transformation Department and all that it has to offer you.[/three_fourths]

Our media department is getting ready to launch in 2012. Being a community and culture of creative people we hope to enrich our events, services, and projects through what we do with our media. We would like to begin forming a team around one goal and purpose, to see creativity and modern technology partnered with the heart and purpose of God. This department is in its beginning stages and we are looking for people with all levels of experience. From beginners to professionals we need you!
