Letter from Shawn Bolz About His Transition from WhiteDove
Posted by Shawn Bolz / February 01, 2007

I wanted to write a response to Paul Keith and Wanda Davis’s special announcement they sent out in October of 2006. I have had many people questioning and wanting to hear my response to the letter, and it’s a great one.

As many of you know I joined WhiteDove Ministries in January of 2003 as a co-laborer, partnered to their purpose. It was a very fruitful and fulfilling season as we developed the ministry together. Even now I am excited about the plans, the staff, and ministry of WhiteDove and I support their message and mandates.

Our separation was done out of a mutual support of one another’s hearts and futures. I have felt since 1997 that I would one day move to California and start a missions base and do a television show, I just didn’t have timing on when. In September 2006 we knew it was time to move forward with our new television project “The Shawn and Paula Show.” As we began to move forward we also realized that God was awakening the rest of the dormant vision for California.

I thought I would be with WhiteDove for many more years so I was surprised at the sudden shift. This has been a season for many of accelerated shifting, so I knew this was God. As exciting and encouraging as it has been to be a part of WhiteDove Ministries, I was personally ready to jump both feet in to the new challenges of birthing a ministry in California. Paul Keith and Wanda Davis recognized this even before I did, and they articulated support and encouragement towards our TV project and the move, as you can personally see by their letter. Even though WhiteDove Ministries has been established for over a decade, they are establishing a base of ministries in Foley, Alabama and this is a new purpose. We both knew without saying that for me to birth a ministry in California that it would do better separate in function but still having relationship in real ways because both our purposes were going to take a lot of work and were separate.

My role with WhiteDove was first relational and then it was functional. Taking out the function will not take away the relationship because of Paul Keith and Wanda’s deep value on friendship. I have been appreciating their love and support during this transition. We are very close to the WhiteDove Family and team, and will continue forward in love.

Taking huge steps ahead has been a challenge and an adventure. I have been meeting with many leaders, getting advice and balanced wisdom on how to proceed into California. Also, our team that we are raising up for this purpose has been meeting regularly and praying, strategizing, and just carrying the purpose forward. The good news is we do not doubt what is before us, we know this is God.

Thank you for your continued support and friendship!

In Christ’s precious love

Shawn Bolz
