A LETTER FROM SHAWN:



DEAR FRIENDS,

I need a new assistant! Justin Stumvoll, my current assistant and very close friend is getting married and taking off on an adventure of a lifetime traveling around the world starting June 27. Justin is going to be impossible to replace without prayer but I also wanted to open up an invitation to you to pray with me and also refer people to the role. I have a very limited time to find another personal assistant and have them trained. I am excited about running in this season and I need someone to help me run! Whether it be worldwide journeys or local base ministry we are going fast in this season and I want someone who loves the excitement but has grace for the startup of our new church, my travels, many new projects, and the people that we come in contact with!

THE ASSISTANT JOB APPLICATION PROCESS:



JOB DESCRIPTION:

The job as Shawn's personal assistant has a wide range of opportunities and responsibilities. The assistant does everything from:



* ARRANGING TRAVEL: from booking flights, helping the inviting groups administrative team, setting up books and materials, doing light accounting, and traveling on the trip as well carrying the ministry and mandates of the meetings.

* HELPING MANAGE SHAWN'S TIME : Shawn has many aspects to his ministry and life. He is senior pastor of a church, does a daily radio show, he is an author, he does life coaching, and he is an internationally known speaker so he will needs help with his full schedule and management. Managing the people around Shawn's life. Lots of people management.

* PERSONAL CARE & PROJECTS: Shawn's life is very full and he needs someone to do many real life responsibilities such as take care of personal finances, care of Shawn's resources, and managing Shawn's daily life carrying it with him like a brother. Although Shawn does not need someone to manage him he does want someone who is aware of his exercise and diet, his house needs, his dogs needs, etc.

* LIGHT OFFICE WORK: Needs someone to do everything from very light filing & accounting to light organization.

* COMMUNICATIONS: Shawn is a communicator and needs a communicator to match him as his assistant. He needs someone who shares the same heartbeat of love and grace, patience and friendship in every type of communication. Shawn is always being interviewed, meeting with people, writing, and just socializing and needs someone who can keep up. Shawn has hundreds and hundreds of communications a month through email, phones, myspace, etc and needs help to sort through them and respond to them.

* MINISTRY EXPERIENCE: Knowing how to pray for people. Basic training in prayer teams, outreach, etc.

* FRIENDSHIP: When you work this closely with someone you have to have a rapport and friendship to carry life together. Shawn is looking for a true brotherhood in the workplace. He loves family. There are good boundaries put up for the assistance own life and time but there is also a lot of activities that are not the normal 9 to 5 job routine so we need someone who is flexible and can have fun in the midst of this intense lifestyle.



OTHER INFORMATION:



BASIC REQUIREMENTS: The ministry is looking for a single male who is willing to live and travel with Shawn. (We will not be accepting any applications from females or from married men at this time. Part of this is because the salary includes all housing, travel, and a stipend each month that would not support a family or a single woman at this time). We are also looking for someone who does not have any addictions, who carries healthy relationships over a long period of time, can manage themselves well with integrity, does not struggle with sexual identity issues, and is physically healthy.



SKILLS: Computer literacy, scheduling, light editing, light office & accounting, basic ministry foundation, communications, etc. (Please also include all areas of experience in these areas). Also include possible extra skills such as video editing, writing, musical or artistic, computer programmer, etc.
