AUNTIE & UNCLE PROGRAM:
Our Aunties & Uncles Program builds and empowers teams of volunteers that promote Kingdom family as they wraparound and serve all types of families (foster, bio, host, adoptive). Aunties & Uncles sustain family, equip the next generation of foster families, and show kids what sacrificial selfless love looks like.
Auntie & Uncle Roles
Aunties & Uncles serve any type of family by providing wraparound support. Six to ten volunteers are placed on a team called a Care Community and assigned to one family. Each Care Community has at least one Team Leader and multiple Family Helpers and Child Mentors.
Team Leader:
Team Leaders help Care Communities thrive by managing the team schedule and connecting with the Supported Family. This leadership position requires participating in various leadership support activities throughout the year.
Family Helper:
Family Helpers help the family by delivering meals, offering house help, and providing supervised kid care. Family Helpers work with Team Leaders to ensure that all of the Supported Families’ needs are met.
Child Mentor:
Child Mentors’ main focus is to build relationships with the kids in the household. Beyond babysitting, they often serve as mentor figures. Child Mentors work with Team Leaders to ensure that all of the Supported Families’ needs are met.
