E58 FOSTER CARE INITIATIVES

Expression58 believes every child has the right to be SAFE.

We pursue that right by doing all we can to make sure each child is surrounded by safe family. Family that is connected, cared for, respected and supported.

E58 promotes Kingdom family by serving kids and their families (foster, adoptive, bio), championing all family members, and loving sacrificially and selflessly.

GET INVOLVED

Our work is hard, yet transformative. We are committed to serving kids and families who are navigating the child welfare system or who are experiencing poverty, homelessness or social isolation.

1. Camp Connect is our annual weekend camp for young people who are currently in the foster care system in LA County. E58 has partnered with LA County, Foster All and Kid Save to host this camp and we are excited to be preparing for our fourth year running this coming September! – If interested in volunteering or supporting the work of camp, please contact Joy Attmore at joy@expression58.org

2. Kidsave is one of our partner organizations and they work to connect older children with adoptive families. They have several different volunteer opportunities available. Please visit their website for more information and ways to apply.

3. If you are interested in learning more about the process of fostering and adoption, one of our other partner organizations, Foster All, could be a really great resource for you. They guide parents through the adoption process and connect them with both great resources and rich community. To find out more visit their website:

4. Another amazing way to support young people who are in the foster care system is to become a Court Appointed Special Advocates ( CASA ). These committed, highly-trained volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) are appointed by a judge to an individual child’s case, to act and advocate for the child’s best interests in court and in all aspects of their life, making a positive difference and giving them an opportunity to thrive.
