AAPI Community Gathering

225 South Chevy Chase Drive, Glendale, CA, USA

“Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death.  He brought this Good News of peace to you Gentiles who were far away from him, and peace to the Jews who were near.  Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.” Ephesians 2:16 – 18

This bi-weekly gathering (May 9th & May 23rd) will be a space of worship, scripture meditation, and storytelling. God delights in our humanity and is not blind to our ethnic lineage and racial context. God sees us. Paul writes in Ephesians that “God’s mysterious plan that was revealed to us through Jesus Christ” specifically revolves around the unity of Jews and Gentiles as both direct children and heirs of God. Wading into this divine mystery, we are so excited to host a space specifically for AAPI to reflect on, share, and listen to our unique individual stories.  A space to celebrate, grieve, and bond in our unique experiences, this small group will also meditate on Ephesians as we receive God’s mysterious love, purpose, and delight for our humanity and begin to break shame as we dream with one another about our inheritance as children of God.  Come receive God’s delight, revel in the raw stories of our families, and consume Asian snacks!
(P.S. This group is specifically for the AAPI community)
